Short profile:

Established in 2000 Rafiki's Café has long been at the hearts of many Capetonians, and all it's friends, looking for a relaxed, unassuming venue to meet friends and make new ones. The heart of the business has always been it's people, both staff and patrons. From humble beginnings the business has grown from initially being a private supper club to what it is today a busy bar restaurant. There's no single salient thing that brings people here and keeps them here. The beautiful views from the 35m long sunny balcony, the groups of colourful people adorning it, the full scrumptious menu, the staff, the huge open fire place (cold nights), and of course the fact that Rafiki's plays host to some of Africa's top artists, up and coming comedians, live bands and solo performances. Whatever it is, all will tell you that a quick "pop in" often turns into al nite

Just had the best time at Rafikis, they were having a 1/2 Price Pizza Special, wicked because I've seen a few similar specials around town but the others you have to buy 2 at a time or there is a catch in the deal like buy 2 get get 3rd free or time restriction, these guys don't have any. All day till midnight. I think I found my new favorite Monday night hang-out spot. Met a really cool group of travelers who invited me to to hike up Table Mountain in the next day or two with them. The music was awesome, and the staff were pretty cool too. Definitely going to have their lunch special tomorrow, they told me it's everyday, Prawns or Rump for R55 bucks. Come on what a deal and awesome balcony. P. Long 9/7/2010 1:35:27 AM

What I love most about Rafikis is that all are welcome. There is no entrance fee, bouncers, or dress code. Simple come as you are, from work, the beach, even gym, you can start or finish your evening at Rafikis. They have plenty of specials w/food and cocktails thru the week. An amazing balcony, fire place, & 6 big screens, a pooltable, free WI/FI, & an ATM. They also have loyalty cards. Check out there web site for more info9/5/2010 1:07:47 AM
