Since it’s humble beginnings in small rented premises in Wadeville, B.E.D. has grown into a major national distributor, operating across Gauteng, North West Province, Free State, Platinum Province and Mpumalanga.
B.E.D. has built a reputation for prompt delivery, service reliability, competitive pricing structures and a strong commitment to the gold, coal, diamond and platinum industries, as well as the structural steel, engineering and agricultural sectors.

B.E.D.’s core specialisation is in fasteners. We offer a vast, quality range of both standard and specialised nuts, bolts, screws and anchors.
B.E.D. also sells a selection of allied products, a part of the business which has grown considerably over the last decade. These include handtools, powertools, pneumatic tools, compressors, welding equipment, safety equipment, bearings, industrial paints and more.
B.E.D. has a large sales team with vast experience in the industry. We have ongoing product training sessions and employ at least one specialist per product. Due to the exclusivity of certain of our products our cost structuring is always competitive.
Over the last few years B.E.D. has placed a significant emphasis on improving counter sales and showroom facilites in all our branches. This has lead to the establishment of Bolt & Tool Africa franchise stores, which we expect to grow in the years ahead.
Each of our operations countrywide, has its own fleet of delivery vehicles, ranging from ½ ton bakkies to 8 ton heavy duty trucks. At an average, our fleet delivers over 40 tons, and covers over 2500 kilometres per day!
B.E.D. has a fully equipped in-house Service Centre, which has been audited and authorised to repair and service all products sold.
To effect quick turnaround times we have a comprehensive range of spares ex-stock.
All staff benefit from our Skills Development Programme. This programme trains employees on an ongoing basis to have the required knowledge of the industry and to be responsive to the needs of our clients. This ensures the delivery of high quality products and services, and at the same time increases the level of skills amongst employees. The company strives, wherever possible, to promote people from previously disadvantaged groups to senior positions within the company.
