Khumula is situated in the old North Eastern Transvaal (Southern Limpopo Province) on the farm Fraaiuitzight, between Burgersfort and Steelpoort and surrounded by the Maroni mountains. Some 30 species of game roam the 2000 hectares of pristine bushveld and guests are free to explore the whole farm on foot or bicycle. Accommodation consists of one 3-bedroom chalet, two 2-bedroom chalets, one 1-bedroom chalet, Duikerscamp (a house with 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge and kitchen), Elandscamp (four rooms with en-suite bathroom sharing a communal kitchen and lounge) (all self-catering), 3 rondawels, a 6-bedroom guesthouse with en-suite bathrooms) and ten thatch units with en-suite bathrooms (not self catering). Most of the buildings are constructed from stone with thatch roofs and furnished with hand-made log & sleeper furniture, giving it a real bushveld atmosphere.
